The 2013 All Wales Residential Participation Network took place on 13 and 14 June in Llandrindod Wells.

This year's theme was "Digital by default? Using technology to engage effectively". The event was designed to support practitioners and organisations to achieve better citizen and community engagement by sharing skills, learning and good practice.

The event gave participants a chance to:

  • learn about ways to engage citizens using social media and other technology
  • learn about what's happening across Wales
  • share learning, ideas and good practice with other practitioners and organisations
  • make valuable contacts across Wales through networking opportunities

We used Twitter to engage with participants during the event. Good Practice Wales have collated these tweets using  Storify.

The hashtag #AllWalesNet13 was used hundreds of times during the 2 day event - you can see all of the tweets made here (via Topsy). It was great to see so many delegates getting involved and tweeting throughout the event - we actively encouraged everyone to use their smart phones, tablets and laptops and we had a Twitter feed on display for the entire 2 days.
