Voices for Change Cymru manifesto event report

Voices for Change Cymru recently held its manifesto event, where all four political parties talked about their manifesto-writing processes and the best routes for influencing them. Lots of useful information emerged in terms of timescales, how to articulate your ideas, what the parties are looking for and who to lobby. This has led to the production of the below report.

The key message is that the time to act is NOW. The first deadline is Plaid Cymru’s - 25 June, followed by Welsh Labour’s – 31 July. Groups who think they can leave things until later in the year or even into next year to put their own manifestos together in the hope of influencing what goes into the party manifestos for the May 2011 elections will be TOO LATE!
