Participatory budgeting with young people toolkit

Children and Young People’s Budgeting has been identified as a priority within ‘Getting it Right’, our United Nation Convention for the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) Action Plan for Wales. It is a key component in taking forward progress towards the full realisation of the UNCRC in Wales.

The participatory budgeting toolkit represents an opportunity for local authorities and their partners to involve young people in making decisions about how to spend local budgets that affect them.

This free resource has been piloted across Wales with young people from a wide range of backgrounds with varying degrees of ability.
