Participation Workers’ Network for Wales website re-launch

1 Sep 2010

The Participation Workers’ Network for Wales has recently re-launched its website (www.participationworkerswales.org.uk), which aims to build on the first version while not completely overhauling the design and content. Changes and new features for the website include:

  • Improved search function: A new search tool with greater accuracy has been developed. The website can now be searched by keyword, topic and site area;

  • Members’ Area expansion: The Members’ Area has been expanded to better hold the wide variety of good practice entered by members. New sections include Training, Awareness Raising, Opportunities for Young People and Research;

  • Add Your Own: The Add Your Own area has been changed to make it easier for you to add examples of good practice. You can also now add resources including posters, audio and videos to share with others;

  • Password functions – members are now able to choose their own password and to use a ‘Remember Me’ tool to remain logged in to the Members’ Area;

  • Participation in Wales section: Greater detail has been added on the policies and structures that have led to the current participation field in Wales, with links to further information also included;

  • Participation Consortium and Unit: A new area of the site has been developed to give increased detail on the workings of the Participation Consortium, Participation Unit and the different Working Groups;

  • Resources and Links: New sections have also been set up holding key participation resources and linking to other organisations respectively.
