The briefing concentrates on the area of local government scrutiny arrangements, which is the area of proposal that will most affect third sector groups in Wales.
The briefing examines different aspects of scrutiny in the legislation, including the importance of the proposal that councils must take account of the views of the public in scrutiny matters and how third sector groups could play an important role, working in partnership with their local council to inform citizens and service users about scrutiny reviews that affect them.
