To enable participants to gain a greater understanding of what partnership working is and what makes it effective.
Learning objectives
- To critically evaluate individual's roles within partnerships
- To understand and develop relationships within partnerships
- To understand the types and functions of partnerships
- To learn techniques to be able to review the purpose and processes of partnerships
Learning outcomes
By the end of the course participants will be able to:
- review and revise the individual's role in partnerships so that they can decide to carry on, change what they are doing, or withdraw from a partnership
- be personally more effective, working to strengths and developing weaknesses
- ensure that the partnership is structured in the most effective way and has appropriate objectives
- to change or refocus the partnership when necessary more effectively
Target audience
This course is aimed at staff who are involved in partnerships and want to make the relationship more effective.
Partnership working is a common feature, which done well can have huge benefits for all parties involved. This course looks at how to make partnership working successful, with participants covering a range of aspects, including: looking at individuals’ roles within partnerships; being personally more effective; and how to develop relationships within partnerships. Participants will also look at the types and functions of partnerships, techniques for reviewing the purpose and processes of partnerships, ensuring that the partnership is structured in the most effective way and has appropriate objectives.
