Cwm Taf Health Board wins NHS Wales Award for Citizens at the Centre of Service Re-Design and Delivery

Cwm Taf Health Board has won an NHS Wales Award for its work with families and professionals to develop an autism guide for parents and carers.

The guide was developed by health board staff, in partnership with parents and carers of someone with autism, in response to concerns that there was a real need for easily accessible, positive information following diagnosis.

It provides easy to understand information including an explanation of the condition, top tips to help while waiting for referral to specialist services, and quotes from parents and carers about their experiences.
