Assembly Review of Standing Orders

21 Jun 2010

The National Assembly for Wales’ Business Committee is inviting evidence to inform its Review of Standing Orders. The National Assembly’s Business Committee would like to know if the Assembly's way of working is accessible and effective in fulfilling its roles of:

  • holding the government to account;

  • making laws; and

  • representing the people of Wales.

The Committee would also welcome your views on:

  • the general principles which underpin how the Assembly should work and which will form the basis for the review (see further details of these in the call for evidence);

  • how the Assembly’s proceedings and rules could be improved to reflect the principles;

  • changes you think would improve any particular provisions within Standing Orders.

WCVA’s Voices for Change Cymru project will be submitting a response to this consultation. If you have any comments that you would like us to include in our response please email them to vfcc@wcva.org.uk by Friday 2nd July.
