Beacon for Wales - funding for public engagement final round

The Beacon for Wales is seeking applications for funding for small-scale projects that will help to embed public engagement into the work of Universities. Projects should address one of the following four themes and target audiences:

  • Our place in the future - 14-19 year olds.
  • Health and Wellbeing - Communities First.
  • Climate and Sustainability - Rural Communities.
  • The Welsh Identity in the 21st Century - Cultural Minority Groups

The projects should develop the skills of schools or departments to undertake public engagement activities that develop a dialogue between the University and the wider community. The projects can include academic and non-academic staff and students. The closing date for bids to be received is Monday 18 January 2010.
